Not bad but lacking a bit of flavor but very good service and quality of food. Nice bar area and courtyard dining in cost setting
Arrived late into Mudgee after a long day, turned up without a reservation. The night turned out great, staff Morgan and Rachael we wonderful, had an outstanding meal, joined in for drinks with other guests. Looking forward to returning and would highly recommend
My wife and I were staying at Perry Street Hotel and Patrick sent us on the short walk down Perry Street to The Wineglass. It was fairly early, 6.30 pm for dinner and the bar was doubling as the check in for the Cobb & Co hotel due to renovations.Morgan welcomed us and got us a glass of wine while we decided what to eat. We shared olives and mushroom arancini for starters, followed by lamb rump for me and Anna had the roast pork special which included sticky date pudding (not on the same plate) for $30 - good deal.Rachel from Yorkshire was Morgan's partner in crime serving the patrons and we had a good laugh with her, as my wife picked her accent at the outset. Chef for the evening was Chris. Thanks to all the team for a fine job.We also ended the evening as a table of 6, as clearly Patrick was on commission, as he sent two other couples from Perry Street down to The Wineglass too. Hey, in the country everyone knows everyone else...Ern and Di were from Shepparton and Fireman Mark and partner from Penrith were delightful company. A good time was had by all and the walk back to Perry Street Hotel was eased by the lubricants consumed. Thanks to all. It is as much about the welcome received as the food and drink, but we had a great evening.
Need to book - this restaurant was our 3rd option after the other 2 were already booked out. Went on a Saturday night and were not disappointed with the food or choice of local wines. Had Pork Belly, Fillet of Beef and Lamb rump - all great. The only thing stopping 5 stars was the service which was only above average. Seems hard for Mudgee to get staff to match the chef's ability. Would recommend.
