The breakfast menu features package meals that include a choice of beverage (coffee, tea, beer, juice) and European style breakfast foods including traditional German (like weisswurst pretzel with sweet mustard), English (fried eggs with beans, bacon, grilled tomato), or French (croissants with butter and jam). Most breakfast platters are served with bread and jam on the side. Everything was excellent! Great atmosphere and nice staff.
The coffee was not good at all and tasted like it was warmed up for a while. The colourful breakfast consisted of a plate with a few thin slices of cold cut and cheese, a hard-cooked egg, a must (hard) and three slices of bread, a tiny piece of butter, honey, a glass with fruits and a cup of yogurt, coffee and a small glass of O' juice. The butter was just enough for the semmel. I think the serving was insufficient for 11 euros. I felt the athmosphere as a bit pressing. You'd rather go somewhere else next time or enjoy your breakfast at home.
A nice cafe, but it would have been nice if instead of bacon, they could have given me a slice of cheese! Because for 17 euros, it is the most expensive breakfast on the menu! So, the least they could do would have been to customize the breakfast a little for vegetarians. After all, I have noticed that Germany caters a lot more now to vegans and vegetarians than they did 2 years ago! Which is great for people like me, which is why I am a little disappointed in this cafe!
A gorgeous small cafe located in the back of a residential building. It's not visible from the front and you need to step into the inner courtyard of the building to see it. There is a fair bit of seating outside in the front and the back of this place. It's leafy, green, cool and really laid back in the back. I could happily spend a day sitting here and sipping a drink and reading the paper. Menu here is quite varied and big. There are plenty of breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea options including cakes and desserts. The service is very friendly and unhurried. I had the daily special of tagliatelle with baby tomatoes and mushrooms. A bit oily for my liking however, tasted delicious. Only thing missing was good white bread to mop up the oil and flavours ; I would love to come back for more. Perhaps a weekend brunch or an evening drink, during the warm summer days. A small gem hidden away in the area. It's German only so don't expect English menus or, English language. I don't think I heard a single word of anything but German, the whole time I was there during lunch.
Been here many times for breakfast. Great coffee, nice staff, decent food and they serve breakfast late. Last night however was different. My girlfriend had a craving for a hot chocolate so we stopped in and sat while she drank her hot chocolate. The place was nearly empty but that didn't stop the owner from coming over and eyeing us and asking why I had not ordered anything. I simply didn't want anything and he scoffed and said that wasn't possible. He just stood there staring at us which of course completely put us off from the whole experience. I've seen places with this kind of dynamic in the past. Great, down to earth with friendly people and owned by a grumpy old man. Too bad the people that work there have to put up with him. No harm done, we will find some place else to spend our money.
