The restaurant is locate above one of Munich's best outside public pool areas, which was built for the Olympic Games in 1972. The atmosphere is very special in winter time when steam from the warm water of the pool is blows by the wind against the large panoramic windows of the restaurant. Sitting just in front of the window is my preferred seating area. But there are other special seatings, e.g. along a former 8-seater rowing boat which gives the unique sportive touch to the restaurant. The menue is primarily mediterranean, I had a Hechtsprung salad with rucola topped with parmesan, walnuts, etc. The salad was very fresh with fruity balsamic dressing. For the drink I have chosen a bottle of red wine from Greece from the wine menu which has a good selection of mediterrean wines. The service was very attentive and friendly and was asking several times after our well doing. Compared to my last experience which is some 6 years back they have improved a lot. One thing which needs improvement is the ventilation of the room to suppress the sticky smell.
Suggested the grilled fish, good portion served together with salad and boiled vegetables. We had beer, appetisers, plate and dessert for 22€/each good prise for the quality of the fish. The place is located on the first floor of the Dantebad thermal bad, good view if you go before
The food was very good and huge portions. mediterranean influenced greek meals. reasonable priced. lovely interior idea, be surprised and the view in winter time on the steaming swimming pool is great. very friendly hosts! just gets a bit noisy when full....
Pomerania are delicious and the cyclist is always cool. The portions are super large and inexpensive, everything is well arranged. Come here.
Franziskaner Kellerbier, good and cheap food and free view of the outdoor pool from Dantebad. Perfect finish for swimming and sauna.
