Still, our order was placed straight away and the hot drinks came out after maybe then the waiting started...one friend got her...yoghurt, i got a single egg after maybe else had nothing...after the drinks were empty of course and the rest of the food was still not there. On top of that our cutlery was **** as the waiter apparently cut himself. Never got new cutlery though. Turns out they forgot to place the rest of our order...so food came after over one hour of waiting. My chocolate croissant was sold out by that time. Of course. In the end my friend also had tin foil on her panini. At least we got a prosecco on the house as an excuse. But we certainly won't come back.
Simple, but delicious breakfast of fried eggs, brown bread, bacon and the quiche Lorraine was to die for! Cute shop items mixed in with tables. We'll eat here again during our short visit.
I live in the neighborhood and headed over for a morning breakfast, based on the looks of Marais and the apparently good reviews. The decor is fun and eclectic think haberdashery. The service is friendly. But the food was inedible. Dish was...fried eggs. It look like they had been made in an old filthy frying pan. The bottom of the eggs was burned. Some ham had been tossed in, but partly clumped on one side. Dish was scrambled eggs. It was a yellow congealed mass. With some liquid (maybe margarine floating on the surface. An awful after taste. Dish was a croissant. This was edible, but tasted like it came out of a three day old plaster package. The cappuccino tasted like instant coffee topped with a bit of milk foam. While I would like to give more stars for the good service and decor, at the end, this is a restaurant. Food matters. If the food is so awful there is no point in going.
With lots of knickknacks for sale, service is friendly and they speak English. The paninis look delicious!
I always come here when in Munich. I just love the unusual atmosphere. The food and coffee and staff are all great too.
