On a busy night the wait for your food is longer than they predicted. The portions are a bit small for what I'm use to but over they have really good food. Feels like a lunch place. No bar. One of the last places that does almond breaded chicken right (breading and slicing chicken breast, rather than putting a yellow sauce on chicken nuggets), BUT, neither the Mongolian beef, nor the General Tsoas were spicy in any way (despite having a 'spicy designation ' next to them in the menu and just the fact that people EXPECT them to be spicy). Service was a bit rude, despite the server being prompt and service fast (too fast, really, for people trying to enjoy a dinner for a birthday get together). Again, beer wine only, sort of a deal breaker for me. Food not spicy in any way was also a problem. Ingredients seemed fresh. The Golden house is top tier food in Mukilteo. I have ordered several times and they have exceeded my expectations several times. I tried the Chow Fun tonight and it was excellent.
