We ordered a bier and some second plates. Food had no taste and after two hours, three of us out of 5, had food poisoning. We had fever, threw up and we needed to go to the medic. This restaurant needs to be closed, it‘s a real danger for people. Avoid it !
I spent one night near by and I went to the restaurent for dinner. I just want to fill my belly with a hot meal and I had some hot samosa and rolls.
The dishes are really tasteless and too salty, some ingredients not well cooked. The cuisine is absolutely not authentic, for example you find raw tomatoes and ananas ? in the Tom Yum soup and no curry in it. The service is moreover unfriendly. Keep away.
We did stop in Mulhouse just for on evening and one night, so we did not know any of the restaurants in the lovely town. Like often before we just too a long walk stroling a round the center of town. and walked by this nice looking clean place. We love oriental food so this was a hit for us.This was not a bussy night because we were alone to start with. The meal we orderd was two chicken cources both nice and large and full filling. I had some oriental beer nice, and the wife had the house wine and it was good. No fail in the quick service, and happy people.
Malai Thai is run by Chinese people, and not Thai People, the service is fast but the food is not authentic. They also offer Chinese and Vietnamese food I believe. The prices are reasonable but it is barely worth it (unless you just want to feed yourself). I could have probably rated 3 instead of 2, it's not so bad, but the fact they pretend to be Thai is disappointing. The food itself: the coconut soup is rich creamy and sweet (too much of all three), lacks subtlety typical to Thai dishes. The shrimps were a bit soft, not that fresh I suppose. The Rouleau de Printemps (spring rolls) were very plain. They serve tea in tea bags (although they have some quality). The atmosphere is a bit fast food, lacks character.
