Restaurante Casavieja de Frederico Briones

The restaurant looks very nice and is the best restaurant in Humahuaca after the rough guide. That's wrong. The girl who served us was very unfriendly and never said thank you or something. They have a menu with beef, lama, chicken and mutton, but actually they only had chicken. First we asked for Lomo and then she ran into the kitchen and we heard how she checked the freezer when she had it. So the food is defenitive not fresh. We had the chicken with herbal sauce and rice and it was just that. In the end we also had problems to achieve our change. So we would NOT recommend defenitly this place.

The food was okay, but the service was absolutely terrible. They never showed up, but they talked behind the bar. We even had to ask for the bill, even if we were the only guests. We travel a lot but have never experienced such a bad service.

This is a beautiful restaurant and centrally located. The food, however, during our visit is the sauces (on a chicken and an ilma dish) were thick and artificial, which an otherwise sensible pair of dishes mined. House wine was a good value, the bottles seemed a little expensive.

It is a typical andean restaurant, good meal choice and good prices. It is a simple, clean, but it has a very characteristic atmosphere, low light of candles, Andean music in the background. Not on the main road, but only a few blocks away from the main square

En un ambiente agradable, decorado con elementos de la zona, como un arado y una pala enorme, se puede comer algo regional, pero sin destacarse. Cumple su función, y no invita al deleite.
