We were lucky enough to go with some locals who highly recommended the place. So glad they did. Reasonably priced. Good...service. Full of locals, always a good indicator.
While the Locro was good (not great), the tamale was average at best and the Picante chicken was dry and bland. Lower end malbec wine selection was the worst bottle we tried in Argentina, sour and no depth. All in all, easily the most disappointing...recommendation from our Lonely Planet travel guide.
Wonderful wonderful regional food with much welcome spice! Great little starters of large beans with chimichurri sauce and bread with an amazing sauce. Humitas had excellent spicy flavor, tamales were also good. We also enjoyed the locro. The waiter had an excellent sense of humor....Very cozy atmosphere with few tables. Loved it.
This is a very good restaurant, a rarity in Jujuy, where the mediocrity prevails in the restaurant scene. It is not a ruffle, but the service is pleasant and the tone is set with a few delicious salsas with the introductory pan. While I wouldn't judge Locro as from this world, it's delicious. The obligatory empanadas are also delicious. The wine prices are reasonable. Good enough for me!
Amazing food in a homy environment. We did not make reservations and have an excellent table! Good service! Not even expencive!!
