Au Montagnard is a warm and friendly restaurant. You cross a sparkling stream to reach the restaurant and the tables through the windows have a beautiful view over Murol and its castle. The interior is beautifully decorated with local paintings and skis on the walls,...nice candle holders and had stoneware place sets. important, the meals were good. For Entrée we had St. Jacques Scallops with legumes and cattle tail, but it was fortunately not a plate of a cow tail, rather shredded beef in the pastry and was delicious. For the net we had salmon mousse with vegien and roasted potatoes and the coq au vin in a rich sauce with vegien. The only drawback was that the lady who served the tables was with herself and a full lunch amount had run a little away from her feet. However, the nice setting meant that you did not spend some time there. For a small village this was an excellent restaurant.
