Southern Que - Murphysboro

If you like grill, you must try this place. Southern Q BBQ has it cozy little town feel as soon as you in. Food and service is enormous. The portions are larger than most grilled connections I have seen. You can easily find a decent parking lot. Try them as soon as you can. They won't be disappointed.

I had the brisket sandwich, with potato salad and green beans, it was so good I cleaned my dish. Wings and tips were also great.

TERRIfIC food, had baked pork sandwich with Mac n cheese and beans. Beautiful quiet atmosphere and excellent friendly service. Unfortunately, they were the day I visited except Brisket, but I will be back. Thanks for a great experience!

Southern Que is great! The food is great! Now they have works of art in the restaurant of local artists. At present, Rachel Malcolm Ensor and DeSande R. Rachel's art are the Rhythm of Life Series and DeSandes art is of portraits of local influential people in Southern Illinois and also DeSandes self-portraits. The restaurant has a great atmosphere! I can't wait to eat there again.

I really do think this place has the best BBQ in Southern Illinois. They are friendly and nice, and the service is good. The location is a little awkward, but it's well worth going anyway!
