Really delicious, chicken juicy and crispy that’s the real

The first time I came to this restaurant was about 6 months ago. Spoke with owner and his wife. Very nice and the food was very good. I liked the small famiky feel and pride in their food and service. I stopped in restaurant last night and ordered 12 piece mixed with sides. It was $40, but I was hungry and enjoy leftovers. Sadly when I got home and ready to eat, the chicken was dried up like jerkie and had a bad smell. I tried to give a little piece to my cat and she wouldn't even eat it. $40 will not break me but the rare time that I treat myself to eat out I would like to enjoy it. I called the store today in hopes of speaking to the owner. Well I got the owner today and he apparently does not need my future business a d did not seem to care. And the lady who put my chicken in the box was his wife, I believe, or just an employee, but either way they gave me old dried up chicken as well. So obviously the workers, or family, is trained to never waste food and even sell the old food to customers who are getting to go orders because less chance they are gonna turn around and drive all the way back. Bottom line is what used to be a nice family owned restaurant, filled with pride, is just another profit minded chain who has lost their self pride and worth. I will never return to this place. I'll just eat that $40 as a lesson earned. And it probably would have tasted better than the meal

Every time I go there, I say, I will not come back. Shame on me, I did go back. I ordered the three-piece chicken leg and thigh dinner, and they gave me a leg, wing, and a breast. The chicken was over breaded and cold. The fries were fair, but not salted. The biscuit was pretty good. The Diet Coke was cold and fresh however, they Did not give me a straw. They’ve just remodeled this place, but they really need to concentrate on their operations more than anything else.
