Feedback gevenMe, wifee, friend and his wife and a friend went here after sitting out at Brew Room discussing where to go and eat! <br/ <br/ Our orders were<br/ <br/ Me and a friend shared 'SathaiMurungakai Charu '. Definitely a must try!<br/ <br/ Starters:<br/ <br/ Makka Garelu: Masala vada with corns. It was nice. Worth a try!<br/ <br/ Batate Bubble Dosa: Quite uniquely shaped like bubble crape or ice cube moulds which had some potato filling made from rice batter and lentils. The design was interesting and so as the dish. Good for a try!<br/ <br/ Basket Pepper Mushroom: a medium spicy Mushroom dry preparation of 5 pieces each placed on top of rice crackers.<br/ <br/ Pinjee Cholam Pepper Fry: Baby corn pepper fry with a tiny portion or herb rice and mashed potato. <br/ <br/ By the time we had starters, I was like man, I think I am done. But mind says full and tummy says empty! <br/ <br/ Mains:<br/ <br/ Vengaya Oothappam, Kal dosa : both were served hot and tasted how it should be! Nothing special about it. <br/ <br/ Bun Butter Parotta: a unique dish with 3 prices of Parotta styled Bun which actually looks like Paav and comes with Khurma. Definitely worth a try! <br/ <br/ Service: Very good. Everyone at restaurant were pleasant courteous. Since we wanted to meet and talk, we didn 't rush to eat, we didn 't bother much about preparation time, but I don 't think orders got delayed.<br/ <br/ So, if you want to try some quirky starters, this is the place to be. For the main course w.r.t price, I may think. But definitely worth a visit for the interior and food.
Excellent food, Excellent service, Excellent ambiance, Really loved the place, Would definitely visit again !!
Very nice and tastefully done ambience. Innovative menu with multiple options from the southern states. The bubble dosa is a must try and so is the curd rice. The lower rating is for the slow service which I'm certain they would fix it.
Fancy but not an overly experimental menu attempts to provide a variety of southern flavours and mostly succeeds. Had tomato coconut milk soup, cauliflower fry, pappu, steamed rice, baby potato fry and butter milk everything sounded and tasted perfectly south indian. The ambience and service are definite positives.
Had visited the restaurant fir Dinner with family and kids.<br/ <br/ Food : 5/5<br/ Ambiance: 5/5<br/ Staff: 5/5<br/ <br/ Food: The place is must try for pure vegetarian foodies. We had DOSA (Ghee Roast, Panneer Stuffed DOSA).<br/ The Ghee roast was perfect. The Panneer Stuffed DOSA was above the mark. It was not too spicy and not too dull. It was perfect.<br/ <br/ Ambiance: The place is designed according to old traditional method. The seats, the paint and the lighting will remind you of your grandparents home.<br/ <br/ The highlight and unique of the ambiance is the AUTO design which they have come up with. It is surely a different experience to sit in the auto seating (they have converted the real AUTO into SEATS)and have the food. The children will surely love the AUTO and elders too.<br/ <br/ Staff: The staff are really good and make you feel like a monarch. They are so courteous and humble.<br/ <br/ Suggestion: The kids chair could have side and front handles to hold them up without any support.<br/ <br/ Price: The price is little higher and the management could consider in reducing it a little bit.<br/ <br/ Thank you Southern Street for a wonderful experience !!! Will try to visit again.
