Pablo's Tacos Grill - Muskegon

I went here for lunch. I ordered chips and salsa to go. I left them on the table. I called to let them know. They put the manager on the phone, who she made sure to let me know that Pablo was her father. She told me there is nothing she can do about it. So as far as she was concerned there was no truth to it and she would not do anything about it. Well, Pablo you have lost a frequent customer over some chips and salsa. I paid for them I think I deserve to have them. You might want to send your manager to customer service classes ASAP.

I went to Pablo's under a recommendation. As soon as I walked in I was completely shocked that a taco place was that nice. They had a full bar, spacey seating, etc. I got the food to go... it was so delicious!!! I would recommend them to anyone and I am planning on having my rehearsal dinner there!

My family and I decided to try the new Pablo's Tacos location on Apple Ave in Muskegon last night. We had heard good things about this place from other people and decided to give it a try. Well all I can say is if you're looking for great authentic Mexican food and atmosphere THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. The food and service was only mediocre and the atmosphere wasn't great either. My wife, oldest son and myself had the meat and bean burrito. The meat wasn't seasoned and was very sparingly put into the burrito. My youngest son, who loves hamburgers had one of those and really didn't care for it. Not to mention that on the kids menu that if you order the hamburger it doesn't even come with fries. Now what restaurant has a kiddy menu with just a hamburger and no fries. You can get them of course for an additional cost. Their salsa and chips weren't anything to rave about either. The first basket of chips and salsa is on the house, but God forbid you should like to sit and munch on chips and salsa while waiting for your food, because if you want a refill on the chips it's an additional $1.75 per basket. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for refills on the chips and salsa. To top it off, the menu didn't even have one of the most common menu items that Mexican restaurants are known for, a carne asada plate. Something as basic as carna asada, steak with rice and beans is a standard dish on all the Mexican restaurants I have ever been to, and an old favorite I might add. Apparently, the people we received good reviews from about this place really have no idea what great Mexican food is all about. We just moved here from Holland a couple of years ago and we judge all Mexican restaurants by the one we used to frequent in Holland, Taco Fiesta. That place is authentic as it gets when it comes to great Mexican food with am authentic atmosphere. All I can say is that if you're looking for a great place to go for authentic Mexican food in Muskegon, Pablo's Tacos is not the place to go. My wife has been to a place called El Burrito Loco here in Muskegon and said it was awesome and a lot like Taco Fiesta back home. I wish we had gone there instead of giving Pablo's a chance.

These are the best tacos in town, paired with the most amazing hot sauce I've ever had. I crave this meal every single day. I strongly recommend it!

I visited this restaurant on Apple Ave at 4 PM for a late lunch with friends, and to our surprise, there were only two other tables occupied in the entire place. Despite the lack of guests, it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was cold. We also waited another 30 minutes for the bill. When we voiced our concerns to the waitress, she rolled her eyes at us. We attempted to speak with the manager (on February 9, 2010, at 4 PM), but she completely ignored us. This was undoubtedly the worst dining experience I've ever had, and I feel compelled to share my experience in the hopes that they will close down and make way for a better restaurant. We will definitely not be returning!
