Here and there we heard kids running around and screaming (understandable but still slightly annoying and somehow they played gangnam style in the middle of the meal XD (thought that was funny . I would give it a 5 if it wasn't for the kids screaming, that's all.The service in general is okay, but our meal took a really long time and our server didn't check up on us (but checked up on everyone else, and mind you, it wasn't really busy or anything . Eventually, another server came to pop in to say hello. However, the service is still within expected range, as the food was still brought up warm and neatly placed.Second visit:I definitely had different thoughts from the first visit. We were greeted with a friendly server (with a blonde ponytail, sorry forgot to ask for name and assigned to a table. Then, we looked at menus. We looked at our orders, and our assigned server, Reuben (unsure how to spell, sorry was really busy with at least 2 tables, but considering this is a middle-class restaurant, I expected to be checked up on maybe in around 5 mins to take our order. Unfortunately, that was not what happened. We waited and waited, and nobody bothered to take a look at us (at the point our group was just looking bored and doing nothing , until we couldn't stand it anymore and flagged a server down. 3-5 mins later our server came down to take our order after being requested from another server we flagged down. We then waited almost an hour for our dishes to get ready (3 dishes and the food itself is pretty good. Then nobody checked in on us for the next 40 min-ish and we had to flag another server down to ask for dessert (we didn't order it initially , then waited another 3 min for our server to take our order, THEN we waited almost half an hour for 1 carrot cake (14 dollars! . In general, I wasn't too pleased with the service in general (Not completely server's fault, they need more staff, this isn't a cheap restaurant, they need more staff .Vegetarian options: The Impossible Burger is good (and the Beyond Meat is really realistic . As non-vegetarians, we decided to give it a try, and it's pretty decent.
Many thanks to Marta, the hostess, the mixologist making the holiday cocktails, and the live musicians, as well as especially the Chefs and all people behind the scenes, for absolutely delicious appetizers, soups, salads, entrees deserts tonight, it was the perfect experience for our family. It looked like lots of families were having a great night, excellent service and much appreciated! Merry Christmas ?
I recently dined at the Compass Restaurant in Deerhurst Resort, and I had a fantastic meal. I highly recommend it. Their Chicken Pizza, Pork Chop, and Chicken Karaage were all delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. A great place for a memorable dining experience!
Disgusting food. We were a group of 4 and really regret coming here. The food is not fresh, burgers tastes obviously store bought frozen. Fries were very dry. Just a very unpleasant experience.
Service was great, food was very good. Kids had pizza and caeser salads. Salads were a bit dry lacking dressing. My wife had a steak, which she loved and I had the chicken karaage, which was good just think a ponzu or gyoza sauce would have been better doing sauce than just soya sauce. I also had the chicken skewers in the curried coconut sauce with pasta... That was amazing! I find the atmosphere a little underwhelming but over all it was a pleasant experienceKid-friendliness: Same kids menu as Maple Pub, but full of crowd pleasers and includes dessert
