Sea Captain's House - Myrtle Beach

I love the vibe at this restaurant. It’s in an old house right on the beach. It’s nice but not stuffy. There were lots of families and special occasions. There was a musician playing in the outdoor dining area. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time on a busy Friday night. The food and service were good.

This is one of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach!The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. All with an amazing view!Instead of bread for the table, they bring you hush puppies, and we're very glad they did, because they were the best hush puppies we've ever had!We then decided to order a few appetizers. We really enjoyed the ahi Tuna and the she crab soup, but the best appetizer was the low country boil dip. We highly recommend checking that out, it was incredible!For dinner we ordered the surf and turf (steak and scallops), which was very good, and the pecan crusted red snapper, which was one of tubby best pieces of fish we've had in ages!They were also great with our dietary restrictions, even though we understand it isn't always easy. But they made sure we knew what we could order and suggested changes to avoid issues. Everyone was outstanding!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Parking: They have a relatively small lot, but they offer free valet parking for anyone that can't get a spot in the lot.Dietary restrictions: They were outstanding with dietary restrictions.

The atmosphere was wonderful. The service was excellent. The food was okay. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was dry. Other than that, the food was average.

Michon is amazing. She is so down to earth and took us in without hesitation when another restaurant didn’t want to seat us. Would 100% recommend and ask for her!

A couple of guys who I was paired up with on the golf course this morning recommended this place. Man, were they on point! They said it was old school but had great food. It turned out to be a very charming little white house with a great interior and fantastic food. Everything was good from the hush puppies they give you at the beginning all the way through the fried flounder, salmon, even the crabcakes were good. The drinks were tasty and the little bar was perfect to sit and wait for your table. They even have a cool little side patio with its own service bar and a nice lawn with Adirondack chairs facing the dunes and beach with a well manicured lawn to hang out on. Fantastic spot!!
