Asami Reizou - Nagatoro

About as pricy as Thailand’s “After You” shaved ice, which is a rich flavored decorative one, but this one here gives a different sensation. Natural cave ice made of super soft water provides smooth silky texture I never experienced before. Worth a try.

Most popular shaved ice shop in Nagatoro. Their ice is not made by freezer. They use natural ice. So when you eat it don’t need to bite like as general shaved ice. It will be naturally melt in your mouth. Price is pretty expensive even though just shaved ice. This is only negative point.

Excellent kakigori shop that serves classic and new flavours in a nice and expansive restaurant. This place is popular so arrive early otherwise expect to queue around the building. There are waiting benches and seats but you could be standing behind the building if the weather is good. The style here is that you add or pour the sauces on top of the shaved ice base. I ordered the rum and raisin which came with real rum liqueur. The raisin sauce was delicious with finely chopped raisins in a sweet sauce. We also ordered cream and strawberries which was good and a chocolate sauce one which my son liked. Overall its worth the wait.

Lovely people. English menu with English speaking people. A must try in Nagatoro.

Came here on mid September 2022 around noon. We didn't have to wait for long even though there was 4 groups in front of us. Our kakigori came right after we ordered it (less than a minute). IMO overall the kakigori tasted nice but rather pricey.
