Here there is a really good selection of foreign foods that would also be hard to find in the canada, like filled grape leaves and picked lemons. they also carry mass data, bulk seasoned and really cheap dried sleeved fruits! I think a kilo lens is about 3400 yen. the best part is the cheap Brazilian cookies they wear. some of them are vegan, which is fantastic as it is almost impossible to find vegan cookies (e.g. cracker) in japan. yes, they carry a lot of meat (in the coolers), but there is also a tonne vegan food.
So excited to find a place to get at Nagoya pace. a freezer full of blocks for 350 yen. many other Indian and Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian foods for pretty good prices. great small shop. Owner speaks English.
Love this place for buying cooking ingredients that you will be able to find in a supermarket for 2-3 times the price. Lenses, kidney beans, coconut milk and cream, many spices for large prices. They also have vegan and vegetarian samosas, spring rolls and pita bread.
This place is questionable why it is listed on HappyCow as it is Halal Shop... But they probably have the best dates in Nagoya. I bought appointments in Tokyo from a beautiful Iranian man (Darvish Shop), and this place is the other side of the city, I just went there once. It is well organized and clean. I now buy things they wear like tahini, sesami, dried nuts at iherb (online) so don't think I'll return there (one click vs. travels for more than 40 min). It's a good way to get in town.
