Updated evaluation (Dez 2021): I have been going to Bacar for about 3 or 4 years after I heard from the owner of the best pizza restaurant PST (which comes from Okinawa). Since my last visit in 2019, Bacar has updated its menu with more pizza side dishes. Bacar's pizza has always been fantastic, and the side menu has been a reflection. However, the side menu has become unbelievable, and both supplement and in many cases shine the pizza. I had the persimmon with burrata, tako frittata and marinara pizza. The secondary dishes were delicious, surprising (e.g. replacing tomatoes with persimmons), and showed a high degree of professionalism and creativity from the chefs. Bacar is now one of the best restaurants in Okinawa and would mention Michelin on another market. The place is very small, with only a few tables and mating seats. Bacar has famous only two pizzas on the menu (Margarita and Marinara), but not disappointed. Reservations are a must. The cost is high compared to the many cheap restaurants in Naha. Drinks are expensive, especially glass wine. Customers are young and dynamic. Bacar has now established itself as Okinawas's best Western dining room. If in Naha, make a reservation and give it a try. Original Review Large thin crust Italian style pizza in Naha. Also go large drinks menu (I love the tankan beer) and a range of side dishes with the pizza. The staff is friendly and efficient. Best pizza in Okinawa, by far. Note, however, that there are only two pizza options: Marinara and Margarita. No specials. Bacar would be even better if they could introduce some specialties similar to their inspiration stores Savoy and PST in Tokyo. Get a reservation before the time, how can be very busy especially during the Okinawa tourist busy season.
The best pizza in Okinawa, maybe not only in Okinawa, but throughout Japan. Owner Nakamura san has won his experience as a pizza man in Savoy in Tokyo. This shop is just a place that still follows the original recipe of Savoy in Japan. Margherita and Marinara are their only offer for their pizza. Try “broccoli” as an appetizer while you want for your pizza. This must be the best broccoli in the world. Once your pizza is easily baked wood stove, your server will run to your table within 15 seconds to serve it directly from the oven. Don't leave it for a long tin, but start eating immediately! Your cheek will melt down... must be in Okinawa!
A pizza bar where the cook takes his work very seriously! He had the only 2 flavors for neck-like pizza, which I think should exist. What was a real surprise were the starters... Especially cattle and pig ham. You might have been the best ham ever had! They were not excessively salty and very delicate and smooth. The only bad dish here was the brocoli that was drowned in olive oil and was not really carburized enough. He served only the pizza when we were ready with the appetizers, and when the pizza came out of the oven, the waiter was literally sprinted with him and served us as fast as he could humanly what was insane! The pizza was also really good, the crust was less chewing and crispy than what iv had in Napel. Price wise was a little expensive for okinawa but everything in all not too bad for the quality of food.
Fantastic pizza. I wouldn't say best I've ever had or better than pizza in Italy. Nevertheless very very good. Tuna carpaccio was tender delicious. Caponata egg plants with cooked vegetables was a rich tomatoey nice appetizer. Then we had the margarita pizza. Only 2 pizzas available. Keep it simple , keep the quality, keep the taste. I would have liked more tomato base basil but the dough was light and crust was buttery delicious. Out of curiosity we had the crema Catalina. A Spanish dessert similar to creme brulé but frozen cream base. It was the surprise of evening. Creamy without the heaviness, crispy caramelized sugar on top and dark express sauce base to cut the sweetness. Super yum. Overall an amazing meal with staff attentive , friendly that speak good English. Highly recommend.
