Their yuzu juice is highly recommended. Even though I went for breakfast in the afternoon, the kind grandma running the place said it was okay.
During the Hinamatsuri season, a lovely Hinadan display is decorated. It is said to be made by "Daikosaku" in 1939.
In the evening, I asked to be guided through the storehouse. There were elegant dishes and pottery that were said to have been used for celebrating special occasions. The highlight was a large plate made of Imari ware from the Edo period, used for serving a big sea bream. There was also a group photo that included a young Natsume Soseki, who was a teacher at Kumamoto High School where the owner's grandfather studied. I am grateful for being allowed to tour the place.
