The team is young and friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and there is ample parking available. The clientele is diverse, including groups of young people, families, and couples. The food was excellent, particularly the fresh, non-frozen fish. Although there was a slight wait between dishes, it was worth it for the quality of the cuisine. We could tell that the food was prepared with care and not just reheated in the microwave. The restaurant offers a great selection of Italian wines and unique coffee options, such as rum and whisky. The evening can be extended at the wine bar with good music and a variety of wines and original alcohols to try. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We recently visited The Hat and were pleasantly surprised by the discovery of this establishment. There is a new owner, who took over in early 2018, as well as a new chef in the kitchen. The staff is young and friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and there is ample parking available. The clientele is diverse, ranging from young groups to families and couples. The food is excellent, with a focus on fresh fish that is not frozen. Although there was a slight delay between courses, it allowed us to savor each dish and we had no regrets due to the high quality of the cuisine. It is evident that the food is freshly prepared and not simply reheated in a microwave. The restaurant offers a great selection of Italian wines and specialty coffee options, including rum and whiskey. The night can continue at the wine bar next door, where guests can enjoy good music and sample a variety of unique wines and spirits. We will definitely be returning to The Hat in the future.
We had tapas together tonight. The tapas platter was okay: double garlic bread and double meatballs in tomato sauce with 5 different varieties. The wine was good; we intended to recommend it and order 2 more tapas, but we were surprised by the bill for what we had already eaten! Instead of suggesting more dishes, we paid without finishing our drinks and were very disappointed with this practice. It's a shame. We have never experienced this since 1979! Despite the good wine, this experience has deterred us from returning.
Let's start with the positive. a welcoming setting, a pleasant welcome, a beautiful wine map. on the other hand, eat nothing transcendent. It's not bad but nothing exceptional and the portions are for monks. and on the mojito too soft and they forgot the alcohol. In short, we haven't had a bad night, but we won't leave.
We were at the hat and the discovery of the place was nice! new boss (in fact a boss) from the beginning and a new chef in the kitchen. the team is young and pleasant, the setting is pleasant and a large parking is available. the clientele is varied (youth group, family, couple, etc.). the kitchen is very good and copyy, fresh fish (not frozen even if the wait was a little long between the dishes, it allowed us to take the time and no regret given the quality of the kitchen. Besides, we're sure it's prepared and not just spent on the microwave. excellent Italian wines, a wide choice of caffeine shoot (especially rum and whisky). the evening can continue on the side of the wine bar with good music and the possibility to taste different wines and original alcohols. We'll be back!
