Matildas - NAMBUCCA HEADS

We had a lovely meal here and would really recommend a visit. We ordered the ham pineapple pizza with a gluten free base and it was delicious (one of the best gluten free ones I’ve had). We chose to sit inside and just found the acoustics a bit loud when 2 louder tables came through.

We decided to take a drive with our son and daughter. Our son returned home from New York after three years and my husband daughter and myself wanted to go for a drive around the local area. We came across this lovely little gem Of a place. The pizzas were amazing. Interesting names and great flavour. It’s a funky little place. Do yourself a favour and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

What a delightful surprise Matilda's was. We booked late in the afternoon we arrived in Nambucca Heads but were luckily able to be squeezed in that night. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and although they were very busy, the staff were calm, friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was amazing! We had the mixed oysters which were to die for, we eat a fair few oysters and these were up there with the best we've ever had, if not THE best we've ever had. We also ordered the Zesty Prawn and Too Cheesy? pizzas and they too were the best ever pizzas we've eaten. And yes, we have a lot of pizzas too! All washed down with a refreshing and tasty carafe of Pimms. A thoroughly delicious and delightful evening and experience. Just wish you were closer to Sydney! We enjoyed an excellent dinner for two here on an overnight stay in Nambucca Heads. We had the Zesty Prawn Pizza and the Nambaaaca lamb pizza both excellent great flavours, plenty of topping and fabulous thin crispy base which held the topping very well. Accompanied by a beer and bottle of Italian Sangiovese. Fully licensed. Food and drinks menu good number of choices. Service efficient and friendly. Loved the music choice a really great vibe and not too loud (one of my pet hates is loud music in restaurants! . We sat indoors but there is outdoor seating as well. You order and pay via a QR code at table or up at counter so no waiting for the bill at the end. This is definitely pizza with a difference and not your standard fare. Quality ingredients and imaginative combinations that work. Well done to the team. We had a lovely meal after a long drive.

We had the pleasure of dining whilst on an overnight stay to Nambucca Heads. Lovely, welcoming staff. Great pizza with some different flavours, had a beautiful bottle of Italian wine too! 2 min walk from our motel. So good!!
