I love the Crow and Gate. Friendly, lovely atmosphere and great Kilkenny Cream Ale. Got here when it's busy (honestly when isn't it busy) so it took a little while to get our lunch. So come with understanding that you are going to be here to enjoy yourself and not run in and out. Always have a good time.

We have been going to the Crow and Gate for over 30 years from the time when they used to have jousting and everyone in medieval costumes. It was wonderful then and it's still the same. It can get extremely busy in the summer and at those times you can wait up to an hour for food. Just get a drink and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens. It will be worth the wait.

What an awesome find! My daughter brought us here while on a visit to Nanaimo. We will be back. The interior is just like a British pub, complete with real fireplaces. Food was just as good as the ambience. Highly recommend it!
