The service is exceptional. The taste of the food is similar to my Mexican mother in laws Love their breakfast menu.
We've tried Baby Salsa twice now, and were blown away on our last visit! It was SO good. To start, we shared the incredibly rich and decadent Queso Fundido, thick gooey melted cheese served with chips. I can't even put into words how good it was. For mains, I ordered the pork Flautas dish, which comes with 3 flautas and a generous serving of rice and beans on top of lettuce, and my other half tried the chicken Flautas. Both were crispy and delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere cozy. If you are looking for a delicious, filling Mexican meal, definitely give Baby Salsa a try. The menu is big: we are excited to come back and try different dishes
Whenever we are in Nanaimo we try and hit Baby Salsa. The food is fantastic, and the service is always great. Everything is very fresh. My only complaint is that wonderful chicken tortilla soup is in such demand I guess they often run out of it or it isn't ready yet when we go in. But, it is sooooo good.
Based on the reviews I thought this place would serve fresh healthy Mexican food. The quesadilla was a gooey mess of paste with 2 tiny red pepper diced pieces. It is served with more filler food - a white rice with red color. This stuff is tasty, unhealthy and the street food that has resulted in an overweight nation. When I think fresh Mexican cuisine it is diced tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, avocado, fresh lime, grilled fish, chicken, beef or pork that come to mind alongside a serving of awesome beans. Look elsewhere if you prefer quality nourishment.
