Beefeaters Chop House and Grill

I've been with Beefeater several times since its renovations took place in September. It's just fabulous. Among my favorites are the Jambalaya Pasta, the Smashburger and the fried Calamari. My friend had her mussels with lemon caper sauce and LOVED. Congratulations to the new owners! You're doing a great job.

We were excited to return to this restaurant after two years, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. We have heard similar feedback from others as well. It used to be a great dining experience, but now it is not worth going to. We recommend staying away and not setting yourself up for disappointment.

A large group of us (30) were available for dinner with a set menu. The service was usually good for such a big party. Apart from some late plates that come out, everyone was served in time. At least... a third of the group were not satisfied, were their meals, and some plates were sent back to reheat when their dinner arrived cold. What the meal I ate, the Calamari as Appy was delicious, beautiful coating along with Jalapeños, the part was quite considerable. I ordered the Burger and Pommes as my head. Good price, big pile of crispy, spiced pommes and a juicy pommes. The bannock was also delicious, fluffy and came with a few toppings. It is a great transition from the restaurant that it was before, but efforts are made to deliver a great culinary experience.

The restaurant had clean and engaging First Nations decorations. I had a delicious meal starting with bannock and sides like butter, wild berry jam, and whipped cream. For the main course, I enjoyed the Halibut wrapped in prosciutto, which was perfectly crispy. It was served with grilled asparagus and risotto. My husband had the Arctic char with risotto and maple syrup butter. Both dishes were excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. - Jamie

No doubt there is some warning that you need to pay for parking. It is subtle at best. Robbins Parking is a stinking little business, and perhaps it is a source of revenue for the businesses owners nearby. I will not be eating there again.
