Seto Sushi - Nanaimo

Close to the petrol station. 3 South Koreans run this Japanese sushi restaurant. the food flavor is not very local in japan. service is good! we spent about $10-15 per person.

Suchi was good. Presentation could use a little spicing up Minimal wasabi one dish came with out Garnish was a little weak in comparison to other locations

Sorry to say, this was some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The avocado in the rolls were honestly so firm they bordered on crunchy. Tiny pieces, too firm to consume. Really disappointed. The spicy avocado rolls just had a barely spiced mayonnaise on top. I think if you’re used to sushi in the city this will fall flat.

Overall wasn’t great experience. Taste was so-so, I kept hoping for a better flavour. The sunomono was very small, the salmon sashimi had bone in it (which honestly I don’t fault them for, that has to just be bad luck) and the tempura batter wasn’t great. One of our tuna sashimi must have been cut off because it had a lot of stringy bits that could not be chewed through (felt like eating gristly meat) May have been an off day, but I don’t think I’ll be going back due to my experience

Don't waste your money!! There are so many places for Sushi in Nanaimo that are better than this place. We go here because it is close to us but never again! Every time we go we are shorted something. This time I didn't get my soup (paid for it and then when my wife went back they charged her again). I asked three times for extra ginger and Soy and you can see in the picture what I got. What does the regular amount look like?!? They will never get our business again and I recommend you do the same.
