Izakaya Joyi - Nantes

We had a wonderful dinner here to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. the service was super friendly and the food was delicious and creatiw. the setting is also very nice.

My daughter and I were attracted by the promise of authentic Japanese cuisine. the personal was mediocre, which did not help when we asked for suggestions and directions in the menu. the meal was expensive, but good. the overall experience was, however, not necessary.

Poor service, no attention, no water on a table, no sticks after start ... no soy souse on a table only limited quantity and ingwer served by water ... never seen anything like this ... the restaurant has a great potential with a very top cook, but unfortunately the French service kills any potential.

During our city trip to Nantes last week we had dinner at the restaurant of Izakaya Joyi, which was a very pleasant surprise and a real treat for the taste buds. So when you are in Nantes go experience this great Japanese restaurant!

We're big fans of Japanese food, so were very happy to be taken to this restaurant. The food is quite authentically Japanese, not the best I've had in France, but still very respectable quality. Recommended if you fancy a touch of authentic Japan!
