I decided to try this restaurant as I had not eaten afghani. I had an aubergine star who was presented deliciously and well. I followed this with a variation of meatballs with a tomato,- lentil and gurken sauce with saffron rice. fill, but...not exciting. the best was the Afghan tee, green tea, which was flavored with cardamom and delicious. the service was acceptable and the place was clean and well used, almost completely at midday would recommend.
I went to the restaurant on a Saturday with 3 friends. the staff was very friendly and the food was really good. I would recommend this place.
It really is worth the detour: not a chic neighborhood but the place is small and comfortable. the menu of dishes is quite limited but it offers interesting dishes with delicious flavors. the husband serves while the woman cooks, a peaceful atmosphere.
Once in the beautiful city of nantes, you should absolutely try a typical Afghan meal at the restaurant Aariana. It's not easy to find, but it's worth it. I had an entrance, a main dish and a dessert with the typical drink to the yogurt and wine and the 3 dishes were perfectly matched and were really delicious ( listen to the recommendations of the waitress)!. the restaurant is entirely managed by a family that I discovered later what makes this place so special - regular customers are personally welcomed by the chef! This makes Aariana a rare pearl in our fast-growing culture of today.
