Main Street Cafe - Nanton

Main Street Cafe was closed for JAHRE. The building is now a very beautiful art gallery and photo studio: Willow Creek Studio. The washrooms are still open!!

Go inside and it's dirty. The tables look like they hadn't been cleaned all day and the staff are in the back chat. I go to the counter and check out coffee prices 8 oz $1.50, 12 oz $1.75, 16 oz $2.00 etc. I say hello to the guy behind the counter and order an 8 oz coffee. He says the girl works, I want an 8 ounce of coffee... She picks up the little cup and says it's an insult for coffee. Who ordered these cups? So I know who I can beat. Hmm awkward. This sniper goes back and forth about a minute, over which she can dance while I stand there waiting for my coffee. Dude tells me I had to work with it all day. I give her a Zunie to pay for my coffee, and she says... $2,00 works. Put it in the cash register and go away. I stare at the board again and I'm confused. I need to pee so I can use the bathroom and listen to the girl as she accused me. Cue: irritation. As a customer, I want service, not to your personal advisors, while you are venting on work questions. I'm paying, right? I'm looking at this guy at the counter and I'm saying she overloaded me for my coffee. And he answers that she did. I say I ordered an 8 ounce and she charged me $2 and he opens it until I return my 50 cents. But then... cash girl goes out and says no! Don't give it back. Cue: Super pissed off look carefully from me. I'll take my quarters and I'll turn around, banged pine to go. I hear her murmel... what?? Under her breath, clear and clearly attracted. To ice the cake, she overloaded my husband. And from the overcoming in her drinking glass I would say that there is a regular event TONS of Loonies and Toonies and I guarantee that these were 't Gratuity for her head blows coffee (it is terrible), yet her spectacular (read: terrible) service. Never back to hell. I'll have a tank coffee every day about this nonsense.

Ah. Food wasn't great. Service was unfathomable slowly and ill considered, e.g., do not serve hot soup to an 18 months old when waiting for their food for 40 minutes. It is a soup and sandwich shop simple fastenings. You should get the stuff out, like nobody does. My wife Latte was a half cup of coffee mixed with half cream. The water tastes like mold and this also affects the taste of your coffee. The waitress was nice. If the best restaurant in Nanton is...

Charming little town café with prompt, friendly service and original decor. The menu is basically baked with all rolls and bread in the house. We had two sandwiches and they were fresh and tasty, but heavy on bread. Great view of Main Street from the covered veranda and outdoor terrace.
