Morton's The Steakhouse - Naperville

We've been there numerous times and we were thoroughly disappointed last night. The service wasn't attentive at all, if fact, the service downright average. Not something you'd expect for a $300+meal. I felt like we were at chili's, especially when the manager sat at a booth with (previous) employees... our waiter was way more interested in talking with them then he was giving us any attention. My wife said, if this was our first time there, we'd never come back... i replied, heck, even after being there numerous times, I'm still not sure we will go back.

I’ve been coming here for years and brought many people in that time. Never had a negative experience until last week. Took my mom for her birthday and my steak (ordered medium well) was burnt to a crisp. I am not someone who ever sends food back or complains but it was uneditable. The server at first glance says wow that looks way over done. So he takes it back. The kitchen manager comes out and demands I cut into it because it should be pink in the center. Almost like challenging me that I was wrong. So I I do and obviously there is zero pink. He takes it back and brings another a few minutes later and again asks me to cut into it. It was the rarest steak I’ve ever seen. I didn’t even have to say anything. He just shook his head and said I’ll bring you a new one. 5 minutes later they brought back the same steak after throwing it back on and it was just rubbery. He ended up comping my steak which I would expect but it wasn’t even the point. He was very rude. Our waiter was great and felt embarrassed. Not his fault. Don’t know if I’ll be back. Very disappointing for Morton’s standards. I’ve never left Morton’s hungry.

Worst experience ever. Lousy steak, RUDE Manager and THE most classless attitude I’ve ever seen in a manager. He had his grubby fingers all over the steak!

The BEST birthday dinner ever! From the personalized menu, to souvenir photos. Our server, John, was absolutely perfect! Friendly, accommodating and the best food suggestions. Having eaten at a few Morton's, this is one of my two favorite visits.

Great place, don't forget to take out a 2nd mortgage on your house, and probably the neighbor's too, so you can pay the check...
