Portillo's Hot Dogs - Naperville

I make sure to avoid this particular portillo's location. This location should be named CrapTillo's.

I don't know what's happened to the food, it's just not the same. I used to love their combos, hot dogs and pasta. Something has changed. It's not as good.

They make mistakes and then respond terribly when trying to resolve the problem. Last 2 visits here were really poor. They have really gone downhill since being sold. Not a fan anymore.

They told me to wait by the red trays for my pick up order. After it was 15 minutes late I asked about my order and it was just sitting behind the registers getting cold. No one cared to bring my order to the place that THEY told me to wait for it. Brought this cold lunch home and it’s horrible. This hotdog is soggy and inedible. I hate this place and will never go back. They don’t care. Fine. But they ruined my lunch. My advice is to get lunch anywhere else.

An iconic place to try Chicago-style hotdogs. Very saucy and messy. You order cafeteria style and pick up and sit anywhere you like. Tried the Maxwell street Polish which was good but not memorable. The fries were nothing special. Very filling. Overall worth a try but not repeat.
