The food, squid, was oddly chewy and tasteless. Also, there were a lot of smokers blowing in our face. It was our last night in Naples and it is bummer it ended this way.
We went twice, both for dinner. Make a reservation specially for dinner since it’s on the Main Street and gets crowded during evenings. We waited 30 minutes nearby and then got a table. For antipasti, we had the mozzarella, arancini, fried fish and octopus salad. The octopus and arancini were wonderful as was the mozzarella salad. The fried fish was ok. For the main course, we had the patate spaghetti (yummy and cheesy), vongole spgahetti (yummy but too much salt) ragu (meaty but taste was ok). Try not to go too late as I feel the chef and servers are tired and the service/food quality goes down in my opinion. Also had a spritz the first time but was not well prepared. Second time had Negroni and again not well prepared
Waiter was very friendly. Gnocchi, eggplant Parmagiana and veal Milanese was very tasty. Huge meatballs served Naples style! Food portions were very good. I agree with most of the posters, this is a good restaurant and would eat here again.
Indulged in a feast at Antica Trattoria da Carmine. Savored the crocchè, papardelle with ragu, and meatballs truly exceptional. The house wine was a delight. The ambiance coupled with delicious pasta created an unforgettable experience. A must visit for food lovers!
Traditional and delicious food. We tried multiple dishes: pasta e patate, caprese salad, risotto to name a few and all were very good, made with fresh and good quality ingredients Tiramisu was very good as well.
