Nice view and place to sit after visiting the castel. Would recommend having a drink here and taking in the view! There was also a live musician
I sat down at a table and ordered a lemon granita, listed at 3 € on the menu pinned on the wall, and 4 € on the handout menu (why the difference? . I was served a fairly good lemon granita, but when I went to pay, I was billed 6 €, and told that lemons are expensive, and that I had sat at a table outside, which implied an overprice. Apparently sitting at a table justified a 100% increase (or a 50% increase with respect to the handout menu . I expected an additional sum of money to pay for sitting, but this is total scam. They're taking abusive advantage of being the only bar in the area.
Only open place in the area near the Certosa we stop to have lunch before the visit .the bar offers little choice and we opt for a Neapolitan sandwich and a piece of Margherita. All passable but definitely not good. High price for food quality and bad coffee
We stopped in this small café that is after castel sant'elmo descending towards the Carthusian before making a visit to the monumental complex. It's on the side of the street opposite the viewpoint, so even sitting outside you don't fully enjoy the view on the napoli. coffee here is as good as everywhere in napoli. the price lightly higher than elsewhere: two euros with table service. I read a lot of outraged reviews, but who doesn't want to spend two euros for a coffee served at the table would better take it standing at the counter instead of wasting time writing total futility.
