The food was excellent; we had scampi, real langoustine and not large shrimps. Capriccio, one of the best we have ever tasted. For main course we had escalope in white wine sauce and green pepper beef filet. Everything cooked was cooked to perfection and the wine the staff recommended was a perfect paring. The service was prompt and very respectful. This was a great dinner to end this trip with
We arrived late Saturday night and didn’t want to drive in the night to meet family. We checked in via another hotel app, which incorrectly said 1.6 miles from airport. It’s 6.7 Kms However, I wouldn’t have booked this hotel if I’d known the distance. Which would’ve been a loss on our part. It’s winding roads, that are typical small Italian with people and cars everywhere. The hotel was lovely. The room is massive for Europe standards and very large for North America. The bed was lovely and not rock hard as some are. The hotel is very clean, as are the rooms. With amenities in the bathroom, sewing kit, soap, shampoo, vanity kit. Air conditioner worked very well, and we slept soundly even with airport close by. I didn’t hear one flight in the evening. The staff were helpful in helping us park our car, and even let us order a late meal at 22:30 with a grappa on the terrace. I have travelled many places, and for this cost with a breakfast that included eggs, bacon, sliced deli selection. This was a great choice, and I’m happy for the mistake in the distance. We would’ve missed out on a great hotel!
Franckly a bad option in Napoli. Airplane noise, bad food, not well frequented area, nearly no water in the shower,....
We ate breakfast at the restaurant inside the Culture Hotel Villa Capodimonte. It wasn't included in the hotel price. It was okay. The eggs were cold and there wasn't much to choose from the buffet. If I had to do it over again, I would have just went to a pastry shop instead. It would have been cheaper more satisfying.
This is other only dining choice if you stay in the hotel and do not want to get into a long and expensive cab ride. Venturing )walking) outside the gated hotel to eat is not recommended. The wait staff wear white shirts and black ties implying a high end experience. The prices indicate the same. The bread were rolls that came out of a Pillsbury tube. The menu is limited with a poor representation of Italian food let alone local dishes. The wait staff was not very interested in providing service, let alone great service at the prices charged. Gnocchi came out of a frozen bag although the special chicken fra diavalo was quite good. Bad Italian remakes of 80's songs consumed the atmosphere. We were one of three tables in a 90% vacant restaurant, which, is almost always a bad sign. We had little choice to eat there due to the neighborhood in which the hotel is located so $75 for a bad meal with no drinks was a very disappointing way to end 10 days of one fabulous meal after another.
