Ma Maison - Narbonne

We were walking the streets trying to avoid the big tourist oriented places when we found this DIAMOND! The Chef/owner was very nice and personable. We both had simple salads but they were perfect. Absolutely fresh with delicious and thoughtful dressings. The best meal we have in the past 5 weeks on the road in France. Spain , and Portugal K had the fish, we are from NZ so very fussy and this little 16 seater passed with flying colours

Back again with 8 of us without a booking. Thursday in narbonne is the flower market . So a good day to visit. We had a group of people with specific needs. Coeliac, pescetarian , no red meat etc. All catered for with charm. Good wine. Good coffee . Try it

We always come back to this charming restaurant with a rather eccentric proprietor . It's rather scruffy and up a rather scruffy side street but the food is always enjoyable with wine by the carafe and good coffee to follow. They are happy to accommodate gluten free and veggie even though not on the menu, and yes they will take dogs. We have 2 Newfoundlands and a general discussion ensued between the patrons who all agreed that this would be pas de probleme should we wish to bring them in the future!

My travel companion is vegetarian, I eat fish. Much harder for him to eat than me. This chef created a lovely meal for my friend and fed me some wonderful fish! It was like we had our own private tasting. He came out and visited with us. Meal was super inexpensive and wonderful. A memorable evening!!!

My husband and I spent a month in the south of France recently. We had one last meal we wanted to try before we came home, Boulliabaisse, but every restaurant we checked out was so expensive! We stumbled upon Ma Maison in Narbonne and on the sign board was a very reasonably priced bouillabaisse so against my better judgement (there was no one inside) in we went. The meal was outstanding. Beautiful duck salad, Boulliabaisse, and an absolutely fab tiramisu for dessert. It was my favourite lunch of the whole trip, and the owner/chef was so wonderful. If I EVER get back to Narbonne again, I will be back here for sure, more than one. You gotta go!!!
