I enjoyed the tacos, which were incredibly flavorful. I also ordered the tater tots, but they were smaller than expected, so a few were enough for me. The drinks were strong but quite enjoyable. The outdoor area had a charming vibe, although a few more umbrellas for shade would have been nice. The staff were very friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.
One of my favorite places in Nashville!! I've been to red headed stranger so many times and am just now realizing I never wrote a review! Red headed stranger is such a great place for a casual lunch or dinner! I always bring my friends here when they visit. The service is always so friendly, like I actually would be friends with most of them. Red headed stranger has indoor and outdoor seating. Typically takes about 30 minutes to get your food but there will be a sign outside the door that lets you know how long the wait is. Their tacos are made with homemade tortillas, and dont be surprised when they serve their dips with tortillas... no chips in this joint!! My absolute favorite is the whipped feta pobalno one! SO GOOD please try it!! Their drinks are freaking amazing. And if you aren't feeling an alcoholic beveragino they serve local coffee! What more could you ask for?
Found it online while driving down 65 South. Name caught my eye. Wife was nervous when we pulled down the street and local residents had cones in front if their houses to block parking. Interesting taco wrap burger, cantina, with outside patio seating. A clear hangout for the college age group. I had the red chili crunch wrap and got my wife the brisket and grilled chicken tacos that she really enjoyed. Kind of a diamond in the rough find that we really enjoyed. Parking may be the main issue it seems.
Great first experience at RHS! There was a line outside, and a quirky sign informed us of our approximate wait. We moved quickly and were inside in no time. There was a cute outside seating area with umbrellas and fans, but today was hot and we had my toddler daughter with us so we opted for the AC. Once inside the interior was colorful and eclectic, very Austin esque. The wall menu was simple with a few interesting items I'd like to explore next time green chili burger, tatchos! . I opted for several of the tacos and a side of refried beans. We found a table and it took 15 20 minutes for the food to come out. We occupied ourselves by watching tortillas being prepared and observing the decor, which included a large stuffed giraffe that my daughter was super into. The tacos were delicious! My favorite was the barbacoa. Super flavorful and juicy. The pulled pork was also great. Actually, they were all great, even the simplest of the bunch...bean and cheese with Dr Pepper hot sauce! My daughter loved the refried beans, which appeared to have cheese and green chili mixed in. Yum! My friend and I also shared some tots with dill ranch for dipping, which was a hit. Overall great food and experience! We will definitely be back. I'm going to lay down now and sleep off this taco hangover.
