South Street Original Crab Shack

I really enjoyed South Street! The Blue Cheese Chips appetizer was delicious and there is a pretty good beer selection. Our waiter was attentive, and the food was great- some things are a tad overpriced but overall the prices seem fair. I'll definitely be back!

Updated from 5/25/2018 - I've been half regular since the last few years in south street and rated it a 4-4.5 before my recent visit. we sat on the outside and thought we heard birds pumping because the garage doors were open when it was a nice night. as I wish it were birds. we looked up to see two rats (not mice, rats) that run around over some of the exposed canal works. we came out as soon as possible and will never go back.

I tried the calamari to start. not impressed, barely cooked. shrimp po boy was ok. expected more.

If you're hungry, you might want to go somewhere else. $15 sharp garnel entree has 5 garnel and no side. dish had great taste, but lets her hungry. the $37 croabbone court came with kartoffel and mais, but much of the crab was overlooked and so flimsy you could not get the right crack to get to the meat. if they have a lot of money to spend, they can get a complete meal.
