Au Bon Pain

The restaurant is very nice. I enjoyed the time spent there.

Limited choices and hospital pricing but giving 5* for the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. Thank you!

I cannot really recommend this place, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I enjoyed Au Bon Pain in Washington DC once (what seems like years and years ago now) and my memory of that experience was head and shoulders above what I got during this visit. The saddest part is, I had been encouraging my wife to visit with me for months. We overpaid for a tiny sliver of egg and some par-cooked bacon on a croissant which had been overheated in a flash cooker/turbochef unit. The croissant was, actually, burned and the muffin my wife purchased (a blueberry muffin) was dry and tasteless. The tables and floors appeared to have not been cleaned prior to our visit, which was a bit disturbing. Staff is friendly and caring but the food is overpriced for what you get, if I'm being completely honest!!! I might go back, if some things were to change ... but .... I don't expect that will happen and so I do not expect I will be returning.
