I’m no stranger to coffee shops—I have literally been to hundreds all around the world—and I would definitely say this is one of the cooler ones in terms of aesthetic and feel that I have been to. It’s a little more of a warehouse feel but I love the open layout and there’s tons of plants and natural light. It’s an intentionally unique concept to have the coffee bar operations in the center of the shop…lends to a really open feel. Really cool place and worth visiting. Coffee was superb ??The only reason for 4 stars is because three baristas saw me waiting in line for literally 7 minutes but didn’t seem in a hurry at all to accommodate, but I went to two other locations and didn’t have this type of interaction so I think it was just the one employee. Check them out!
This place has really fallen off. I’ve been going for 2 years and have noticed a huge decline in the quality of food and coffee. The espresso was sour, the biscuits have gotten tiny and dry, the sausage was rubbery. I will say the seasonal jam is still very good. You also now have to PAY for their PRIVATE parking lot. That’s correct they have a private parking lot only to be used for barista parlor and if you want to get breakfast you have to pay to park or you’ll be ticketed. It was always a very expensive coffee shop, but at least before it felt worth it. Used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots, but they’ve traded quality ingredients for greed. I believe they just expanded the amount of locations too quickly and now quality has fallen off.
I never leave reviews, but after a third visit here, I had to say something. I really wanted to like this coffee shop, because it’s so convenient, and the atmosphere is pretty cool. So it’s a good spot to work from. But the stuff is just so extremely rude, and will often take at least 10 to 15 minutes to even acknowledge your presence and take your order. Then another 15 minutes or more to make your coffee. I’ve worked in the service industry and am very understanding. But they never apologize for the wait, or even smile. And it’s a long wait, even when they’re slow. It’s unfortunate. Because it has great potential if it wasn’t for the staff. :
Long-time Barista Parlor fan. Still a cool space but I’m really bummed they no longer use ceramics, glassware, or the wooden planks they used. All to-go containers now. Wi-Fi password is “daredevil”.
