The chicken sandwich tasted fishy and was very thin not the typical thick fried chicken sandwich. But I seen the table next to me had half chicken and it was beautifully fried like how I would have wanted it on my sandwich but probably was bone in. Anyways want to try again but this sucked was disappointed for my firs time . Grits was very good first time having it
The wait wasn't long at all, maybe 30- 45 mins total for the line for food. well worth it, everything was great! William at the register was very helpful with the menu since it was our first time! Vinny was so kind continued to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed! 10/10
Great chicken and not as hot as we’d feared!! Though we didn’t go hotter than hot certainly wasn’t brave enough to try the shut the cluck up. Did see a few red faced plucky souls, with beads of sweat forming acros their forehaeds who did seem to embrace that challenge.Out of the sides we had, the five bean salad was excellent, truly so and in total contrast to the Mac cheese that was rank.
Really wanted to try Hattie B’s while on a work trip so I made the 10 min walk from my hotel over to location off Broadway. Had some fear that I was going to have to wait in line but ended up getting there around 3 pm and only had to wait 5 minutes or so to order. Once I ordered I did have another 5-10 minute wait to get my food. I sat by the windows overlooking Broadway, a lady gave a guy in his undies with a guitar a protein shake and I found that entertaining enough for my wait. I had ordered the fried chicken sandwich with medium sauce and fries. When the food came the chicken and fries were fresh and hot. The fries are good and have a slightly spicy flavor. I got the comeback sauce to dip my fries in and that was good, almost tastes like it has a tiny bit of horseradish in it, and a tiny bit of heat. The sandwich was good but the chicken was tough. I had to bite hard to get through it. I’m guess I’ve got used to Canes and Dave’s Hot Chicken because both have chicken that is way more tender. It had just a bit of heat, sort of wished I went hotter. Overall I was glad I tried it.
As a celiac I was expecting to not be able to eat here but wow was I surprised. We went looking for “hot chicken” for my husband and I was pleased to see many gluten free sides along with gluten free chicken tenders. From ordering, to delivery, to our table, the staff took great care preparing the gluten free items. Very pleased with the service. Likely the best “hot chicken” you’ll find in Nashville, add it to your must eat at!Dietary restrictions: They do gluten free very well. No worries friends! Enjoy!
