Island Life Down Home - Nassau

I had a wonderful lunch for Mother's Day. We were treated like royalty! The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. There was a DJ playing fantastic music, and they even offered free Wi-Fi and complimentary drinks.

The food was excellent! I ordered the lobster and it was a massive portion! The service was fantastic as well!

The local food here is fantastic! I had the best conch salad I've ever tasted! Rissa was an incredible waitress—super attentive and friendly. The portions are generous too!

It was our last night in the Bahamas about 2 weeks ago. At this point, we knew not to eat at the resort. Even taking a cab here and back (Grand Hyatt Baha Mar) with the bill would've still been cheaper. It was late, not much was open, but coming from NYC, we're used to having all options available at pretty much any hour. However, it was only 10:21pm according to my google timeline and places were limited. We came here being one of the only places open and boy am i glad we did! I was feeling a little risky so i tried the conch curry with grouper. WOW! Now, i love indian curry, and my own parents make curry, but this! There was some spice in their curry that made it stand out above all the rest. The fish was good too (But beware those of you who aren't used to having the head served with the fish though). At the end of the night, the owner came out and chatted us up. THIS is what you want to see at a restaurant. You WANT to see the owner come out, greet people, and make sure everyone is having a good meal and a good time. He even grabbed us a cab to get back to the hotel at the end of the night. This was the perfect place to have my last meal for my first time in the Bahamas. Absolutely coming back next time i visit!
