La Taverne de Saint Jacques - Navarrenx

We like eating here for lunch on the terrace. It can be a busy spot and the outside seating area has been expanded since last year which helps! Good value and friendly staff. Popular spot for walkers.

We ate at this little restaurant on two occasions during our recent holiday. The set price meal of three courses, wine and coffee included, all for 13€ could not be faulted. Good food and service.

We stopped here during a trip to this lovely old fortified town. It was for a coffee and nibbles, and we were very impressed with the location, the service and value for money.

This is the first restaurant we found when we ventured from our campsite and decided to give it a try. It was full of french people when we arrived, which we took to be a good sign. My husband and I were made very welcome and customers and staff were very amused by our attempts to speak french, but between us we made ourselves understood. The staff were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the entrecôte steak which was HUGE! perfectly cooked and delicious.
