It is located on the other side of Old Panvel after Garden Hotel or at the end or beginning of the flyover One needs to take the route underneath the railway bridge to reach this place. One can approach this place from DMart or from New Panvel which is east side of Panvel A decent structure to have both take away and seating to have one's meals The restaurant opens at Midday at 12.30 pm and closes quite late. Sunday's are busy day's hence no deliveries. All South Indian especially Kerala speciality is very much served plus the regular north Indian and north east dishes Pork is available on prior orders on decided day's and one can try having it with boiled tapioca Meat is available throughout. Mutton and fish too in Kerala style preparations Kadala Puttu is breakfast meal other than idli dosa vada sambar upma Kerala Paratha is available. I visited this joint quite some time back. I don't know if they have redone the interiors. Then there was no AC available. Now if you are a Kerala food lover and you are driving down to Goa or Alibaug then it's worthwhile making a left turn to reach Hotel Nijo. Similarly if driving down to Mumbai then make a right turn to enjoy your Kerala food and even pack some to have as you reach your home and avoid hassle of cooking The prices are easy on the wallet. Overseas visiters need not wait to reach Kerala to taste meals. One can enjoy here in Panvel at the outskirts of Mumbai and within Navi Mumbai. Hotel means having resting rooms but this is an resturant. Student's from Kerala studying in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai find this place God Blessed. People travelling from Pune too find this place useful and even pack food on return journey. Kerala fish curry and rice. Pahzam Puri is favourite at tea time. Enjoy Kerala Food far away from Kerala. Taste is original. Giving four star's is because each part of Kerala prepares the same dish in different ways.
My visit to Hotel Nijo in Onam was, unfortunately, a deeply unsatisfying experience. From the moment my order arrived, it was apparent that things had gone awry. First and foremost, the parcel I received did not contain the quantities I had expected. I had placed an order with specific portions in mind, but those expectations were not met. To compound matters, the order arrived late, leaving my group hungry and frustrated. This untimely delivery severely disrupted our dining plans and left a sour taste in our mouths, figuratively speaking. When we finally opened the parcel, we discovered that the serving size was incorrect. I had ordered for four people, yet the meal was portioned for only three. This miscalculation not only left one of our guests with a limited meal but also created an uncomfortable dining situation. To add to our woes, approximately half of the items we had ordered were missing. It was an astonishing oversight on the part of the restaurant, one that further tainted our dining experience. Additionally, the packaging was substandard. Items were poorly organized and haphazardly packed, which only added to the confusion and frustration of the situation. Perhaps most disappointing was the lackluster response from the restaurant’s management. When we tried to address these issues, their handling of the situation was far from what one would expect from a reputable establishment. Their response was neither prompt nor apt, leaving us feeling unheard and dissatisfied. Major drawback I found is the food was bland A lot of the curries present in the traditional Onam Sadhya were missing Paid too much for the poor quality and service Arrogant staff and couldn’t handle packaging effectively My experience at Hotel Nijo in Onam was marred by a series of unfortunate events, including inaccurate quantities, late delivery, incorrect serving sizes, missing items, subpar packaging, and inadequate management response. It was an overall disappointing dining experience that I hope can be improved upon in the future. I would highly suggest that before ordering any food items, decide thoroughly to avoid a similar disappointing experience when ordering from Hotel Nijo in the future. Remember that while a single bad experience doesn't necessarily reflect the overall quality of a restaurant, taking these precautions can help minimize the risk of future disappointments when ordering from Hotel Nijo
Very bad experience 2023 onam sadya. Served no sambar, no dal, no papad. People waiting for hours to get food, total mismanagement. Don't go there, people are so rude, they took 800/ for two plates, see the photo
