Tia Caia - Nazare

Wow, what a dinner it was!! The restaurant itself is very pretty inside, and the food was just amazing. When we went there was only one waiter but he was doing everything he could to be as fast as possible to serve everybody, and he did a very good job. We had a soup to start and then the octopus rice, which was incredible. Our friends had different cuts of beef, and they were all tasting incredibly good. The waiter then suggested a particular wine to have with the meat, and it was very good choice. As desserts the awakened pear was very good, and the different cakes were also tasty. Definitely recommended.

A completely lucky decision to go here after our first choice team failed to turn up. We were first to arrive and had doubts, then a Scottish lady who happened to be a chef, walked up and told us of her late night meal three days beforehand. We listened, followed her guidance and went in. One lady was front of house, I suspect one but definitely not more than two in the kitchen, prepared our incredible food accompanied by a first class wine. Two of us had giant shrimps to start, with an utterly amazing source, followed by shrimp with rice for me and vegetarian mushroom risotto for my wife. All three dishes deserved 10/10 and the service whilst slower was first class. It is worth noting that we arrived at 19:10 and it was empty, by 20:00 it was 90% full. The only area that was not fabulous was the light, which needs a softer, more rustic approach but otherwise this was 10/10.
