I have been many times in this Pub in Via Merliani and as Guinness Pub already earns a star. The restaurant is very nice and in Irish style, during the festivities of St. Patrick you can also receive prizes. Lately she renovated the decor and I have to say that the sandwiches did not find them as good as in the past. The music that passes is pleasant and supported by a typical décor makes it as a typical Irish dishman, now features of pubs more in general. The choice of beers is boundless and spreads between beers to the plug or bottle, with many fragrances, fermentations and different types. The wait is never too much to sit at the table where, however, the wait increases. The service has never been very fast but now it has become very fast ahime to ask if you like account after little from the end of the meal. This last feature is perhaps dictated also by the non-excessive size of the room, unexplained however when at the exit there is no crowd. 4 Stars for the typicality of the room in the decor, choice of snacks and beer. If I've been back there several times, there's gonna be a reason, right?
I had been to the Huckory Guinness Pub earlier and I returned with a couple coupon for meat-based dinner. The pub is as cozy as ever, in the soft rock style. The staff is very courteous and attentive to the customer, one of the few places where I went with coupons and treated me like all normal customers. The menu included: fries fries chips or sticks, but there is no choice and they brought them sticks. The bottle of water at the table had to be for 2 people, but they brought us the one from 50cl, however little matter because it was also included a drink apart that it was enough. I chose the beef cut that had to include besides mushrooms (very good! also rocket, tomatoes, Parmesan scales, instead they made me choose between the two contours. In short, apart from these small details, I am very happy with the welcome and goodness of the products. It is really an intimate and pleasant place.
Tonight we started to eat at a Spanish restaurant located at Vomero but, walking through the streets, we fight with my friends, in this place. Intrigued, also because the writing brought Guinness, one of my favorite beers, we enter. The local develops on a small but cute basement and perfectly corresponding to an Irish Pub. We sit down and order sandwiches, 3 coca cola zero, a Guinness 0,30 cc and a clear beer that I now do not remember average. My friend and I take the Angus Burger sandwich, 240g hamburger with cheddar cheese, onions, mushrooms and provola. I must say good, nothing that can make me cry out of joy but deserved. The service was a bit slow at the time of delivery of the sandwiches, but the two girls who served at the tables, were young, nice and kind. We paid total 59.90 euros in four, little less than 15,00 euros per head. Whereas only the Angus sandwich cost 12,00 euros, the price is acceptable. I don't know if I'd come back, but we didn't eat bad.
This will be a sweet / bitter review. Many times I've come across this pub, I've seen it from the outside and always had me curious. Saturday night I decided to try it. The first thing that strikes is the aesthetic perfectly aligned with an Irish pub with Guinness everywhere. The room extends over two floors; the tables are arranged on the basement, the spaces are not huge but the tables are perfectly positioned so even on Saturday night you do not feel oppressed. The worst flaw is given by the organization of the staff not ready to handle situations of strong crowding from weekends with difficulty in managing the queue for the tables and management of the same. Good variety of sandwiches as well as for special dishes. Also interesting is the variety of beers. Ultimately I was satisfied with the quality of the dishes, good above average sin for service too often not punctual.
