Osteria Nostranello - Neggio

Our neighbours and friends have invited us to this beautiful little Easteria at the heart of Neggio. The ambience is enhanced by Giorgio's Mandolin live music. The food is delicious and always fresh, two main dishes only select. Sitting in front of the fireplace was an unforgettable evening.

What a pleasure. Friends of us invited us to dinner that has been here many times. What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious. The service personally and great. We could sit outdoors and appreciate the beautiful buildings of this old village. And... we had the pleasure of hearing Georgio the mandolin in the background. When we get back to the Ticino from Australia, we definitely go back.

Visited Osteria on the first day after the winter break, early April. 22 seats only, in one of the most beautiful corners of Ticino. A man and woman team offers local specialties cooked for perfection. We had fresh artichokes as an appetizer, roast beef and polnta, rabbit and polnta. All cooked for perfection. Large local wines at very fair prices and if you happen to drive, they will also sell the wine through the glass. In addition to the delicious kitchen (and the willingness to accentuate special requests), the landlord will make his mandoline and sing and make music with full Gusto! No, not the tourist nonsense, it is good music and perfectly presented just because this restaurant is really the life of this couple. Bet my last dollar this is your best night in Ticino! Reservation necessary.

Very good food and if the owner of the osteria takes to the mandoline and a little one gives a concert you don't want to go home anymore.

Giorgio and Lily are my favorite pair that manages a food center around Tessin. Always fresh food. All you get is the right choice. Although my favorite is the Bratbeef.
