Mad Co Tacos - Nelson

The restaurant is really charming, and I definitely want to return. Next time, I plan to order a margarita and try something different from the menu. I think I made a misstep by choosing the salad. I was hoping for an entrée salad loaded with toppings and greens like olives, peppers, onions, cheese, corn, and beans, but instead, it was just the insides of a taco—shredded lettuce, tomato, and shrimp. It was tasty, but I expected something more substantial. If you're a salad lover, this one may not excite you. I'm eager to try the crunchwrap or burrito. I do wish restaurants would put more effort into creating fantastic salads, but I'm still looking forward to coming back for another visit!

This is a fantastic little place with delicious food, excellent craft beer, and remarkable service. Since it was our first visit, we sampled a variety of tacos, and each one was outstanding. I had passed by several times, and I'm so happy we finally decided to stop in. I can't wait to return!

Fun place for tacos!. Nice variety, if you like spicy, order the chorizo one. Choice of soft, flour tortilla, corn tortilla or crunchy corn tortilla. The crunchy was perfect and the chorizo was really flavourful. I also ordered the pulled pork, which was yummy. Definitely, 2 tacos per person, and don't forget to ask for your lime wedge. Decent food but the ordering process was incredibly dysfunctional. We waited 25 minutes while the two parties in front of us asked endless questions of the cashier. Either the menu is confusing or this place caters to people who never eat Mexican. By contrast, my party of four had our order in and paid for in 3 minutes. That’s because we read the menu.This establishment desperately needs automated ordering kiosks for those who know what they want. For the jamokes who have 10 minutes of questions, let them stand in the dope line and hector the cashier in person. Our cashier was also doubling as a waitress and a bartender. I felt bad for her, she’s trying her best, but the clientele here is the most baffled bunch of locals I’ve ever seen. After all that, they got our order wrong. No wonder, the cashier was overwhelmed.Parking: Parking lot is a mud hole. Buy some crushed stone and fix it.
