A real unique bar with a great menu. Fun rural/railroad atmosphere. One of those places you're glad you came upon. Kid-friendliness: They have an operating train that circles overhead.

Been eating at this place since a kid and it brings life to the Nelson locals, the staff is friendly and treats everyone like family, the owner is always in the establishment always checking in on everyone as well as making sure everyone walks out with a smile, I’ve seen negative reviews and I can say with confidence the people leaving negative reviews are not being honest, you get fresh quality food for a very fair price, this place gets packed sometimes so the wait is a little longer then people expect but everything is being made fresh to order, I have some issues with my orders that have been happening more frequently like my fries being soggy and undercooked or my chicken being tuff and overcooked but it’s not very common but still disappointing other then that I have nothing to complain about, come in with patience and a empty stomach and leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face

Excellent fried chicken! Been gone from area for 9 years and Christa and Railside did not disappoint. Great food and service.
