La Capilla - Nelson

The meal was just the right portion size, and there was a great variety of flavors to choose from. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located conveniently between several places and is situated directly across from a field with cows. I'm not sure how well-known it is, as it wasn't very busy during my visit.

Our family visited the restaurant for a birthday dinner, and we ordered the gnocchi, fish tacos, and a child's meal. I thought the gnocchi was fantastic! The tacos were very flavorful, though a bit wetter than we anticipated. The restaurant, set in a converted church, offers a wonderful atmosphere and even has an outdoor playground for the kids. The service was excellent, and we didn’t have to wait long for our meals. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

One of the best restaurants in Nelson. The food is expertly crafted with intriguing flavor combinations. The staff is friendly and attentive. The soothing atmosphere makes it perfect for a romantic date night.

Finally someone who knows how to cook! The steak was well rested and melted like ice cream in my mouth. The pork belly was soft and tender with just the right amount of crispy crackling. A very rare find to have meat cooked so well in a New Zealand restaurant. A greater selection of drinks would make this the place to die for.
