I have been a regular at Oso Negro in Nelson for as long as I can remember, but recently I discovered something even better - the Capulin coffee served at Bean Here Now. You can immediately taste the difference; this coffee lacks the bitterness of other varieties, and I particularly enjoy the smooth high it provides without a subsequent crash. The owner, Mitch, shared the story behind the coffee with me. The unique aspect is that the beans never come into contact with water until they reach the espresso machine. Mitch explained that while other beans are processed with water (resulting in bad beans floating to the top and possibly forming tannins that can cause unpleasant reactions), Capulin coffee is different. Previously, I would rarely drink coffee due to the jitters and acidic aftereffects, but now I am hooked on Capulin because it offers a delightful experience. Additionally, the beans come from a family farm in Mexico, and Bean Here Now ensures fair compensation by paying them 4 times the fair trade rate for their exceptional product. I highly recommend trying the MochAmericano, featuring coffee beans coated in vanilla, cacao, and coconut oil. The iced drinks are also superb, with the iced Americano priced the same as the hot version (as it should be).
I FEEL RIPPED OFF CHEATED STOLEN, lied to worse new years ever!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY! Dont trust them and their management.
Mitch is personable and interesting. The best coffee in Nelson whether a hot coffee or an ice coffee on those hot summer days. Service is fast considering most of the time it is Mitch there alone.
Very friendly staff good collection of wines, fresh and tasty food! cool and classic decoration! that's all you want from a restaurant.
We had two years ago coffee here while we visited nelson so happy that nothing has changed since! the best mocha I've ever had! will definitely visit again before we leave nelson.
