I'm extremely impressed by the cheese selection and quality for a small-town cheese shop. The people behind the counter and knowledgeable and give great suggestions and pairings. They also have some nice charcuterie and make a GREAT grilled cheese sandwich for reasonable. Additionally, they have a really nice selection of high-end kitchen and cheese accessories, including boards, domes, crackers, cookbooks and other cool things. I have my eye on a few things to purchase as gifts throughout the year.

This is a must visit for an eclectic range of world cheeses. If you live cheese, you need to visit. The shop has a wide range of Canadian, global, goat, cow, and sheep cheeses.

I'd heard about this shop but didn't have a chance to visit until my last visit to Nelson, and OMG. THE best curated selection of cheeses I have seen in many, many places. The proprietress was very busy when I visited, taking orders and offering samples of her recommendations while building cheese board orders, so being patient was a huge pay off. The mango/passion fruit stilton recommendation was out of this world good, like cake, and guests were so smitten with it. Bravo and thank you! I listed this under restaurants as they have grilled cheese sandwiches on the board but really it's pure, unadulterated cheese heaven.
